My Journey in the Plastics Industry
I began my career in the plastics industry at an iconic Australian plastics company. Starting as a maintenance fitter, I quickly moved up the ranks to become a Maintenance Foreman, overseeing the upkeep of machinery vital to production. Eventually, I assumed the role of Production Superintendent, managing the entire production process. However, my thirst for new challenges led me to transition into a Hydraulic Service Technician role.
Becoming an Entrepreneur
After gaining invaluable experience in hydraulic services, I decided to venture into entrepreneurship. Drawing on my expertise, I established a service company specialising in selling, repairing, and servicing machinery within the plastics industry. My company's services expanded to include relocating manufacturing businesses across Australia, New Zealand, and China.
My Qualifications and Expertise
I hold trade qualifications as a fitter & turner, and toolmaker, with expertise in hydraulic and pneumatics, heat treatment & metallurgy. These qualifications have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of machinery and materials crucial in plastics manufacturing.
